When the diameter of the branching pipes is the same as that of the main pipe to which it has to be connected, we make use of pipe fittings with equal diameters on all openings. Alloy steel equal tee belongs to this category of pipe fittings with 3 ends, all of which are of the same diameter and are perpendicularly placed with respect to the primary pipes.
